As most of you know my family and I for the last four years have been involved in the charity bike ride Sydney to CAMberra who raise funds for the Stillbirth Foundation and SIDS for Kids. The people involved in this amazing annual event I now consider family and hearing the stories of families who have lost children to both Stillbirth and Sudden infant death has inspired me to go even further to raise money for these charities.
Tathra Place Free Range will be hosting a viewing of the amazing documentary from an Australian company Regragrians on an American farmer Joel Salatin and his property Polyface Farm. Joel has been the main inspiration for Tathra Place and 90% of all our farming methods have been modelled on Polyface. I'm slowly reading all nine of his books and have watched hundreds of hours of his lectures and onsite videos. Joel is inspirational and sets the bar for ethical farming using his aggressively rotated portable infrastructure, mob grazing, disturbance rest ratios and direct selling buyers clubs. This documentary will also give you a fantastic insight into the way Tathra place is being run only with an Aussie spin. This beautifully filmed documentary isn't just about farming it also asks questions about current society and our eating habits and listening to Joel lay out some obvious truths as only he can will provoke some thinking for everyone.
We would be honoured to be joined by you and your likeminded friends to raise money for the Sydney 2 CAMberra charity ride and have a wonderful evening at the same time. Myself and some special guests will be at the event for a chat before the viewing and there will be guest speakers as well as a Q and A after with me because I know there will be a lot of questions.
I want people to know that because the story is told accurately without bios there is a scene were chickens are being processed. It is very fast and relevant to the story but I understand some people would prefer not to see this process so I'm being as upfront as possible.
It is my goal to fill the cinema because every cent raised is going straight to the charities so please tell everyone and I guarantee you a great night out. The film will go for 92mins and will start at 715pm sharp with registration starting at 645pm.
